This Symposium will be the seventh one: "ISP7-PRESSIO 2015" organized for the first time in Africa by the Tunisian Association of Soil Mechanics (ATMS) as part of the 16th ARCSMGE from April 27 – 30, 2015 in Hammamet, Tunisia.

Symposium Aims

 

ISP7 will offer an opportunity to exchange experience between contractors, manufacturers, consulting firms engineers, scientists and academics.

 

The technical exhibition will help and permit to discover the latest methods and technologies and the most advanced testing equipments.

The exhibition is dedicated, among others, to the major actors of the ground improvement sector coming from both academic and professional worlds: research laboratories and universities, scientific societies, software companies, equipment manufacturers, private and public engineering consulting firms, with a special attention for the experts. 

 

Call for abstracts and papers

 

Papers on any topic relevant to the Symposium themes are welcome.

The abstract should include the title of the paper, authors’ names, mailing address, e-mail address, telephone and facsimile numbers.

The abstract should clearly state the purpose and the conclusions of the full paper.

The abstract must be written with Times New Roman font, 12 pts, one and half spacing.

The paper title should not exceed two lines typed in bold Times New Roman font, 14 pts.

Please refer to the updated classification of themes of the Symposium.

In a paragraph of 200 to 300 words, the abstract shall summarize the adopted method or technique,

the obtained results, their interpretations and usefulness for the practice of geotechnical engineering.

Detailed instructions will be sent to the authors of the abstracts selected. The final paper will also be reviewed by the Scientific Committee.

 

Symposium Themes

 

The themes of Symposium will be devoted to the following subjects:

  • Equipment and Methods 

  • Pressuremeter Theory

  • Interpretation of the PressuremeterTest

  • Applications to Structures Design

  • Role of the Pressuremeter in Geotechnical Engineering

 

The Symposium will include State of the Art lectures, sessions for oral presentations and poster sessions.

 

Exhibition

Exhibition of equipment, products or services stands will be available to professional and industrial participants.

Short Course

A short course will be organized on April 30, 2015 before the symposium 

Languages

The official languages of the Symposium will be English and French.

Symposium Proceedings

All papers accepted by the Scientific Committee shall be published in the Proceedings, which will be available during the Symposium.
